Stuhr's 2009 Calendar of Events

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - From a special evening relaxing under the stars to a brisk afternoon on a bicycle to forms of recreation you may have never heard of, Stuhr Museum has scheduled a wide ranging and exciting range of special events in 2009.

While many favorites persist, such as our All Hallows Eve, Christmas Past & Present and 4th of July Celebration, several new events in 2009 deserve special attention:

Stuhr Under the Stars (May 29) - Cinema and history collide during this special event where Stuhr will host a family film, shown in our historic 1890s Railroad Town, and follow it up with special historical activities and games based on the movie! Check back soon for more information.

Sports and Leisure Weekend (June 19 - 21) - Run, ride, roll, catch, watch and play during this weekend full of sports and games. The public can participate in a variety of competitions, all played with old time rules, lingo and customs. From cards to foot races, we've got something for every speed, age and ability.

Bikes and Hikes (September 19) - Stuhr closes traffic to cars during this event to let hikers and bikers rule the grounds! Events include historical bicycle displays, foot tours of the grounds, special bike paths and the "Tour de Stuhr" race.
