GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - The third annual Harvest Festival, which features dozens of ways to celebrate the coming of fall, is set for Saturday, September 25 at Stuhr Museum.

In only its third year, the Harvest Festival has become one of Stuhr's most popular events. The day is rich with history of the harvest, including demonstrations of historical tools, a chance to go into the field and harvest your own pumpkin, lessons on how to cook with what you harvest, displays of tools and much more.

All events take place at the 1890's Farmstead, where the Clearly Farmhouse will be open and staffed. Activities for the day include:

●A huge grass maze suitable for young and older children
●Choose your own pumpkin in our pumpkin patch
●Make apple juice, bob for apples and see apple cooking demonstrations at the Hired Man's House
●Horse rides throughout the day
●Live Music
●Hands-on corn grinding activities
●Antique tractor displays and a "Parade of Power"
●Games on the lawn of the Cleary Farmhouse
●Much More!
