Water, Water Everywhere
(but we're holding up OK)

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - Strong winds, storms and rain have pounded Central Nebraska over the past few days, and while Stuhr Museum has not flooded, the effects of the severe weather can be seen around the museum.
Effected parts of the museum include the mill pond which has over flown its banks, several buildings which have taken on small amounts of water (historical artifacts have been moved in these cases), and many many puddles around the museum's 300 acres.
However, thanks to the Wood River Flood Control Project completed several years ago, major flooding of the museum is extremely unlikely. While the soppy weather has proved inconvenient for Summer School classes and other activities at the museum, all our attractions and events continuing all summer long.
