Wings Over the Platte Events

GRAND ISLAND, STUHR MUSEUM - The majesty of the spring Sandhill Crane migration once again comes to Stuhr Museum with events surrounding the 22nd annual Wings Over the Platte Art Exhibit.
Wings Over the Platte, largely recognized as one of the largest and most prestigious art exhibits in Central Nebraska features the work of dozens of artists who depict life on the Platte River and its tributaries. The show runs February 19th through April 11th. Work includes 2-D, 3-D and photography pieces from both local, regional and national artists. Find more information here.
In addition to the art show, Stuhr Museum is again proud to offer the second annual Crane Speaker Program, which invites experts in a variety of fields to speak on the annual sandhill migration, the Platte River and a variety of other topics. Speakers are scheduled for 2 p.m. March 6, 13, 20 & 27.
