Christmas Past & Present
December 4 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Stuhr Museum’s signature winter event returns again this year, giving visitors the chance to step back in time and experience the holiday season in a unique and immersive way. Each evening, over 100 lamps are lit to guide you through this truly magical journey. The sights, sounds, and smells of the season will flood your senses as you take in all the activity in Railroad Town and surrounding areas, including the 1860s Road Ranche, Church, and more. The Leo B. Stuhr Building will be open to view the Fantasy of Trees exhibit and listen to seasonal music. We also invite you to bring non-perishable food donations to the Stuhr Building to contribute to the Tri-City Food Fight.
An added activity on Saturday, December 4th only, the Descendants of DeWitty will be sharing holiday memories passed down from their ancestors. DeWitty, Nebraska was the longest lasting and most successful Black settlement in the Sandhills of Cherry County from 1907-1936. For more information about the Descendants of DeWitty, visit their website here.
Admission is $10 per person ages 6 & up; free for Stuhr Museum members.
