Wings Over the Platte Closing Reception

The Closing Reception for Wings Over the Platte will be held on Sunday, April 2 from 2-4 p.m. The reception will feature a program entitled “The Spirit of the Sandhill Crane: Art, Song and the Science of Mother Nature” from 2:30-3:30, moderated by Stuhr Museum Curator Robb Nelson with guests Mary Vaughan, featured artist for Wings Over the Platte 2023; Emily Dunbar, songwriter; Paul Dunbar, pastor & birder; and Dave Baasch, a scientist at the Crane Trust. This will be a meaningful, open discussion about art and the scientific wonders of this mystifying bird. We hope you can join us for this fun and educational celebration marking the end of the 35th Annual Wings Over the Platte Art Exhibition and Sale!
Admission for this reception is free for members; public admission rates are $14 for adults, $13 for seniors, $12 for youth ages 6-12 and free for ages 5 & under. Families that receive food assistance through SNAP or WIC can show their card to receive admission for $3 per person ages 6+ through our partnership with Museums for All.
