Horse-drawn Plowing Day

Spring has sprung and it’s time to start work on the cornfield! Join us on April 12 to see how farmers prepared their fields in the days of horse-drawn equipment, as the field is plowed using original horsepower. This will be a working demonstration with no set time to any specific activity, so you are invited to come and go and watch as you please. We expect the horses to hit the field mid-morning and work throughout the afternoon. The field being plowed will be the site of the 2025 Nebraska State Hand Cornhusking Contest on September 27.
