Stuhr Museum’s beloved North Pole Express returns again in 2023 to provide a unique and immersive holiday experience for children to cherish for years to come!
This program is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes long and includes boarding an authentic, stationary rail car, a reenactment of the story “The Polar Express” by Chris Van Allsburg, building their very own wooden train engine, and other seasonal activities. Children are encouraged to wear their favorite pajamas as they embark on this memorable holiday adventure.
The North Pole Express is intended for children ages 4 – 11 years old. Younger children may keep one adult with them if they prefer, however, we strive to accommodate the most children safely in the space available, and space for adults is limited and not guaranteed. Parents are welcome to drop off the kiddos and go run a couple of quick errands or visit the Stuhr Building while the program is going on. Three sessions are available each day: 9 am, 11 am, and 1 pm.
The cost for the North Pole Express experience is $30 per child for members and $40 per child for non-members. Please note, tickets are for children only and parents/grandparents need not purchase a ticket. Tickets go on sale at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, October 16 on the Stuhr Museum website. If you need assistance with purchasing tickets, please call us at (308) 385-5316.
