Reading Through the Ages: Jack Pumpkinhead and the Sawhorse
November 12, 2021 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us for some fun, after-school reading at Stuhr Museum! During this time, Stuhr staff members will walk young readers through the story of “Jack Pumpkinhead and the Sawhorse” by L. Frank Baum. Jack Pumpkinhead was first introduced to readers by Baum in 1904 and made appearances in a number of books set in the Land of Oz, probably best known as the setting for “The Wizard of Oz”. This Jack Pumpkinhead story is currently on display as a part of the Aura of Autumn exhibit. Other books are also available to read in Kid’s Corner.
Regular daily admission fees apply but there is no additional cost to take part in this reading program. Stuhr Museum members receive free daily admission.
