Snowshoe Making Demonstration
January 23 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
$10
This program demonstrates how snowshoes are made. Stuhr staff will demonstrate how to lace a pair of pre-made snowshoe frames that allow the wearer to be able to walk in deep snow. Snowshoes are one of the oldest forms of transportation, dating back to at least 6,000 years ago. History of this very old style of shoe will also be available. This program will be from 10am-3:30pm on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Stuhr Building. It is an all-day, ongoing program so one can stay as long as they would like or come at any time. There will be a break from 12:30-1pm.
