Stuhr-pendous Saturdays: A History of the Spinning Wheel
February 18 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Join us as we learn about the history of spinning wheels on February 18 from noon – 4 p.m. Kelsey Patton and her mother Clare Quandt will bring their collection of antique spinning wheels, as well as a few related antique spinning and weaving tools. The spinning wheels in their collection range from the 1820s on, and span most of northwestern Europe and America. Kelsey and Clare will take turns demonstrating the unique workings of their various wheels throughout the afternoon and answer any questions that visitors may have. It’s sure to be an informative and entertaining afternoon! This program is free with regular daily admission.
