
Stuhr-pendous Saturdays: From Knights to No Man’s Land: Arms and Armor from the Middle Ages to the World Wars

During this presentation, visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the development of arms and armor from the middle ages until around World War I. We will discuss the development of protective gear and hand-to-hand weapons over time and visitors will have the chance to see connections from the distant past to iconic elements of the most horrific conflicts of the last century. You will also have the opportunity to hold and examine replicas of medieval armor as well as genuine historical artifacts from WWI. This program is free with regular daily admission and will be held in the Reynold’s Building at Stuhr Museum.
