The Stuhr Museum and the Stuhr Museum Foundation are two separate legal entities that are collocated with distinct governing boards that both support the organizational mission “to share the collective human experience of community building along the Platte River Valley.” 

Request for Proposal 

December 30th, 2024 

1. Summary

a. The Stuhr Museum is currently seeking proposals for Strategic Planning services in the calendar year 2025, with preference for completion before July 1st, 2025.  

b. The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to solicit proposals from various candidates, conduct a fair evaluation of those proposals based on the prescribed criteria, and select the candidate that is the best fit for facilitating the strategic planning of the museum. The Stuhr Museum and the Stuhr Museum Foundation reserve the right to award contract(s) as they see fit to the bidder(s) of its choosing when and how they deem appropriate.

2. Nature and Scope of Work 

a. The purpose of the project is as follows:  

• To provide Strategic Planning facilitation to the Stuhr Museum and Stuhr Museum Foundation. 

b. Project Description:  

• The Stuhr Museum and Stuhr Museum Foundation seek professional facilitation of our five-year Strategic Planning process. Key elements include, but are not limited to, inclusion of both board(s) of Trustee, staff, Directors and community stakeholders in the process. The development of a five-year vision, goals, and supportive workplan.  

c. The Scope of this project includes: 

• The facilitation of the Museum and Foundation’s Strategic Planning in a fashion that must include both board(s) of Trustees, both organizational staff and Directors, and community stakeholders 
• Assistance in defining the vision of the organization(s) for the next five (5) years 
• Assistance in developing no less than five (5) and no more than ten (10) broader goals that support the defined five-year vision of the organizations 
• To collaborate with the Executive Directors of both organizations in developing a workplan to execute the goals that support the defined five-year vision of the organizations.
