STEAM Learning Center Facilitator (PT)
Stuhr Museum is seeking STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Learning Center Facilitators. Must work well with Pre-K and school-aged children and possess a desire to teach using experiential, hands-on techniques. Must also be willing to learn about antique farm machinery and teach visitors of all ages about the machinery in the STEAM Learning Center. Requires a high school diploma. A teaching degree or experience is desired. A background check will be done on prospective candidates. Part-time. EOE.
H.A.T.S. Instructor (PT)
Stuhr Museum is seeking part-time instructors for our Heritage Activities for Today’s Students (H.A.T.S.) Program. Must work well with school-aged children and possess a desire to teach about historic subject matters from the 1800s. Must also be willing to learn period-appropriate activities and dress in period-appropriate clothing. Requires a high school diploma. A teaching degree or experience is desired. A background check will be done on prospective candidates. EOE.
Visitor Experience Attendant (PT)
Part-time, year-round position. Welcomes and assists visitors with sales in Museum Shop and the Gate House. Greets guests, processes ticket sales, provides directions to on and off-site locations, and answers visitors questions. Ability to use cash register, computer skills, and other business technology equipment. Excellent customer service skills. Part-time, evening and weekend work required, as needed. EOE.
Culinary Service Manager (FT)
The Culinary Services Manager is responsible for all food services on the Stuhr Museum campus, including food planning and preparation in the Stuhr Museum catering kitchen for daily public sales from the Stuhr Museum Bistro. The Manager will also execute and oversee food preparation and sales from the Silver Dollar Café in Railroad Town. The Culinary Services Manager will be responsible for the management of part-time staff for the Bistro, kitchen help, and part-time staff in the Silver Dollar Café. The Culinary Services Manager will work closely with the Facility and Events Sales Coordinator to provide catering options and services for corporate rentals, weddings, and other campus rentals. The Manager will be responsible for procuring and maintaining raw food product to support the daily needs of a functioning full-service campus kitchen, bistro, and café. Responsible for the hiring, training, leadership, and management of a small part-time food service team. Works with the Director of Interpretive Resources to ensure period-correct food options are offered for sales in Railroad Town and during special events throughout the year. EOE.
