Stuhr-pendous Saturday: Weaving with Nature

April 20 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Learn how to use a tree branch loom and found objects to create a one-of-a-kind woven wall hanging. This simple, beginner-level weaving project will allow crafters to explore nature and learn how to craft without having to buy expensive supplies. We will also be talking about the fundamentals of weaving and looking at some examples of traditional looms and woven artifacts. Tree branches and all supplies will be provided. This program is appropriate for school-age children and adults. Children must be accompanied by an adult. A demonstration and instructions will be given at 2:00 pm and participants will have the remaining time to weave and get creative with the help of the instructor and volunteers.

This program is included free with regular daily admission: Adults $14, Seniors $13, Youth ages 6-12 $12 and youth ages 5 & under free. Those who receive food assistance through SNAP or WIC can show their card to receive reduced admission of $3 per person ages 6 & up. Stuhr Museum members receive free daily admission.
