Knitting is a versatile handcraft that is gaining popularity again for making hats, mittens, sweaters, blankets, and more! This beginning class will introduce students to the knit and purl stitches, casting on, and casting off. Students will make a small wool “mug rug”. We will also discuss planning projects, different types of materials, and different kinds of needles. Students are welcome to bring their own size 8 needles if they own them.
