Field Trips

Field Trips aren’t just for the school year!

Step back in time and explore the sights and sounds of Railroad Town, bustling with costumed historical interpreters, hands-on activities, and more from May through mid-September each year. Visit the iconic Leo B. Stuhr Building and the Fonner Rotunda, where engaging exhibits await.

Self-guided field trips offer the freedom to create your own schedule, allowing you to interact with exhibits and activities at your own pace. While these visits don’t include structured instruction, they’re perfect for exploring at your leisure.

Enjoy a picnic in our outdoor areas, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Need indoor dining space? Let us know when booking to reserve a spot—availability is limited.

Whether you stay for an hour or the whole day, we can’t wait to welcome you this summer!

Please note: We require 1 adult per 5 students as chaperones for field trips to ensure students act in a respectful and safe manner toward the museum grounds, artifacts, and employees.

$11.00 PER PERSON

Reservations are required at least 2 weeks in advance to receive field trip pricing and payment will be due on the day of your visit via cash, check, or credit card. Please contact us at (308) 385-5316 to set up your group’s field trip today!
