February 6 | 9 am - 12 pm
This class will allow attendees to explore the art of Cyanotype with hands-on print making and step-by-step instruction. A cyanotype is a historical photography printing process that results in a vibrant blue print. The process involves creating a UV light sensitive mixture from a few chemicals and then spreading that mixture onto a piece of paper making the paper light sensitive. You then place objects on the paper to block the light, which creates the print. We will be using objects from nature and found objects to create unique prints. The skills learned in this class will easily transfer to creating Cyanotypes on your own at home. All supplies including paper, chemicals and nature/found objects will be provided.
