Donations

Do you have an object that you would like to donate to the Stuhr Museum? If so, please review the guidelines below to help us manage your donation process more effectively.

Object Donation Procedures – Curatorial Department

  1. The Stuhr Museum is an American history museum that primarily focuses on the history of Hall County, Nebraska prior to the 1930s. As this is the case, we will not be able to accept donations of objects from more recent periods.
  2. If you would like to donate an object to the Stuhr Museum collections, please make sure before your arrival that you have the legal possession of that object and have the legal authority to give that donation.
  3. If you plan to donate an object to the Stuhr Museum collections, the museum staff asks that you provide us with at least 48 hours of notice to ensure that a curator will be able to assist you with your donation. If this notice is not given, we cannot guarantee that a curator will be able to accept your donation on the day you arrive.

*The Museum is currently not accepting donations of pianos, automobiles, or large farm machinery.
